Today at the Gypsy, food and solace went hand in hand. So many hugs from strangers looking for their new compass. Heart wrenching stories each told with disbelief as if nothing really happened. Those who have sent lunch to those who lost everything. Ideas blossomed for a clothing drive, shared housing and numbers exchanged. It feels like dark times yet the love I saw today was so real, compassion driven and present. I am thankful to those who can rise above this tragedy and still reach out. So much to do as this fire ravages our homes our hearts our beautiful county.
The Gypsy Cafe is starting year number 7 in Downtown Sebastopol on Main St. And I have so many people to thank for the years of joyful fun. Thanks to all the wonderful regulars who come and enjoy our cafe year after year and thanks to all of my wonderful staff who have dedicated their lives to our success along the way. We are one big happy family and it makes work delightfully easy. Well maybe not easy, since we run from open to closing but its always a joy to chat with our friends and neighbors while eating German’s amazing food. Who knew we would have a great landlord, a great posse and a great time for the past 6 years. So heres to another year and another year and another year in our sweet little town of Sebastopol.
So proud of my Gypsy Staff: Here is the latest news:

Meanwhile she has also received a grant to try and empower young women through the Tese Foundation in Zimbabwe. AND she needs our help to buy supplies to teach her students. If anyone is interested in sending donations for her program they would be so appreciated. Sabena is dedicated to helping young people all over the world and there is no stopping her.
